McDonald’s is expanding its hours of operation once more, offering late-night dining at a “vast majority” of restaurant locations across the United States, a company spokesperson announced on Wednesday.
Restaurants across the country will soon be open past midnight, while others will stay open around the clock to compete with other industry competitors.
According to the spokesperson, the extension does not apply to the majority of the company’s non-traditional restaurants located in airports, shopping malls, or other areas where extended operating hours are prohibited.
“Our fans know there’s no better way to end an unforgettable night than by feasting on your favorite McDonald’s order,” a spokesperson said. “That’s why, as the summer season begins, we’re excited to provide more options for customers to satisfy their late-night cravings, including expanded hours at more restaurants.”
Fans can now satisfy their cravings with our new McCrispy Strips and Creamy Chili Dip, as well as other favorites such as the Quarter Pounder and Chicken McNuggets.”
According to QSR, street teams will be at concerts in New York, Los Angeles, and Detroit on Saturday, handing out free merchandise, coupons, and gift cards for chicken strips.
Kendrick Lamar and SZA will perform in Los Angeles, Beyoncé at MetLife Stadium, and The Weeknd in Detroit. The company will also give away 1,000 virtual gift cards for free McCrispy Strips on Instagram.
The announcement comes shortly after the chain announced plans to hire 375,000 people, its biggest hiring push in years. The burger chain also intends to open another 900 locations by 2027.
