The United States stock markets will be closed on Monday, May 26, 2025, in observance of Memorial Day.
Both the Nasdaq and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) will remain closed on Memorial Day and reopen on Tuesday, May 27.
The U.S. bond market will close early at 2 p.m. ET on Friday, May 23, 2025 ahead of the holiday, according to the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association.

Memorial Day is the nation’s foremost day to honor and remember military members who died while serving. It falls on the last Monday of May and is a federal holiday.

After Memorial Day, stock markets will operate as usual until the next holiday closure on June 19 for Juneteenth.
