Savannah Chrisley is looking ahead with fresh plans now that her parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, have been released from prison. After working hard to secure their freedom, Savannah is ready to focus on her own dreams.
New Goal: Travel to 30 Countries by Age 30
Savannah, 27, told People magazine on May 30 that she wants to visit 30 countries before she turns 30. “I will be 28 in August,” she said. “Now’s the perfect time. Mom and dad are home. I can travel to my 30 countries.”
The Chrisleys’ Legal Battle
Todd, 56, and Julie, 52, were convicted on fraud charges in 2022 after being indicted in 2019. Todd was sentenced to 12 years, and Julie to seven years in prison. Their sentences were reduced by almost two years in 2024.
Savannah worked behind the scenes for more than two years to get a presidential pardon. Her effort paid off when former President Donald Trump pardoned them on May 27.
Fighting Misconceptions About the Pardon
At a press conference with her father on May 30, Savannah addressed rumors about how the pardon happened.
“The biggest misconception is that I either paid for a pardon or slept for a pardon,” she said.
Savannah explained that she spent countless hours and money traveling to Washington, D.C., without scheduled meetings, hoping to be in the right place at the right time.
“I fought hard and I was exhausted and I begged for meetings,” she said.
She also said their celebrity status didn’t give them special treatment. “People think, ‘Oh, you’re a celebrity, you have money,’ that we got an upper hand and we didn’t,” Savannah said. “I had to fight and I was relentless.”
A Family Victory — But the Fight Continues
After the pardon, Savannah released a statement thanking President Trump and supporters like Alice Marie Johnson and their lawyer, Alex Little.
“This moment is the answer to countless prayers,” she said. “Today is a victory for our family, but the fight against wrongful convictions and injustice within our prison system is far from over.”
Savannah Chrisley’s story shows her dedication to family and her determination to make the most of new opportunities after a long legal struggle.
