HOPKINSVILLE, KY — A celebration of Kentucky’s rich food heritage is on the menu this Thursday, April 10, as the Supper Club returns for its next gathering at the Pennyroyal Area Museum, located at 217 E. Ninth St. The event kicks off at 6 p.m. and promises an evening filled with flavor, history, and community connection.
Guest chef Matthew Brown, a retired culinary professional and the creative force behind Wandering Kentucky, will lead the evening with a curated menu of modern takes on classic Kentucky dishes. Born and raised in Russellville, Brown is known for crisscrossing the Bluegrass State in search of hidden gems, historical sites, and the stories that tie Kentuckians to their roots — often sharing his adventures through social media and video content.
“Matthew brings a unique blend of storytelling and culinary talent to the table,” say organizers. “His ability to reimagine traditional dishes while honoring their origins makes for an unforgettable experience.”
The Supper Club series is hosted by the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County in partnership with the Hopkinsville-Christian County Human Rights Commission. The program aims to spark meaningful conversations and foster cultural understanding — all through the simple act of sharing a meal.
“Our mission is to build a stronger sense of belonging,” the event release states. “Food has a powerful way of bringing people together. By highlighting diverse traditions and rituals, we open the door to community, compassion, and connection.”
Admission is $10 per person. Guests can also purchase a season pass for $50, which includes all five Supper Club events scheduled for 2025. Upcoming dates are June 12, August 7, October 9, and December 11 — each held at 6 p.m. at the Pennyroyal Area Museum.
