A routine traffic stop in Christian County Tuesday afternoon resulted in the arrest of three men on multiple drug-related charges.

According to the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Greenville Road involving a vehicle driven by 52-year-old Jeffrey Tucker of Utica. During the stop, it was discovered that one of the passengers, 42-year-old Brandon Marvin of Livermore, had an active warrant for contempt of court issued out of McLean County.

A K9 unit was brought to the scene and alerted to the presence of potential narcotics inside the vehicle. A subsequent search revealed suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, and an unidentified white powdery substance.

Tucker, Marvin, and a second passenger—44-year-old Jay Riley of Calhoun—were all taken into custody and charged with possession of methamphetamine, marijuana, and an unknown controlled substance.

In addition to the drug charges, Tucker faces several traffic-related violations, including failure to or improper signal, careless driving, obstructed vision and/or windshield, and improper display of registration plates.

The investigation is ongoing, and further testing is expected to determine the nature of the unidentified substance.
