Fresh & Ready Foods, a California-based producer, has voluntarily recalled dozens of ready-to-eat sandwiches and other products sold across Arizona, California, Nevada, and Washington. The recall follows an FDA warning about potential listeria contamination, a bacteria that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections.

Why This Recall Matters

Listeria can cause a serious infection called listeriosis, especially dangerous for:

Fresh & Ready Foods recalled products distributed from April 18 to 28, 2025 in corporate offices, medical buildings, and healthcare facilities vending machines and breakrooms.

The recalled items include a wide variety of sandwiches (torta, ciabatta, focaccia, croissant), pasta dishes, and snacks under brands such as Fresh & Ready Foods, Fresh Take Crave Away, City Point Market, and Fresh Food to Go.

All items have “Use By” dates between April 22 and May 19.

  • Fresh & Ready Foods Mike’s Tuna Mac Pasta (9 oz)

Fresh & Ready Foods reported that the listeria contamination was found during FDA environmental testing on equipment at their facility. They have since removed the affected equipment and taken steps to comply with FDA safety guidelines.
