Chase Chrisley Describes Emotional Reunion with Todd and Julie Chrisley After Prison Release

Chase Chrisley opened up about the heartfelt moment he shared with his parents, Todd and Julie Chrisley, after their release from prison.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight on May 29, Chase, visibly emotional, called the reunion “a beautiful moment.” He said, “I don’t think it really hit me until they were both home and I saw my mom and dad hug and embrace each other.”

Tears, Hugs, and Joy

Chase revealed that the whole family was overwhelmed with emotion. “Everyone was hugging and crying,” he said. “It was a beautiful moment and answered prayers. The joy I felt is hard to describe.”

He shared how Todd and Julie’s reunion was especially touching after years spent apart behind bars. “They both burst into tears, and my dad wrapped his arms around my mom. I don’t think he’s let go, and I don’t think he ever will,” Chase added.

The Family’s Journey

Todd and Julie were reunited with their children on May 29 after receiving a presidential pardon from Donald Trump. Along with Chase, the family includes Savannah, Grayson, and adopted daughter Chloe, who is Kyle’s biological child. Todd also has a daughter, Lindsie, from a previous marriage.

Savannah shared a sweet moment of their reunion on Instagram, captioning a photo with the sticker: “Reunited and it feels so good!”

Todd and Julie Chrisley were indicted on fraud charges in 2019 and found guilty in 2022. Todd was sentenced to 12 years in Florida, and Julie to seven years in Kentucky. Their sentences were reduced by almost two years in 2024.

Savannah was a strong advocate for their freedom throughout their imprisonment. On May 27, 2025, Todd and Julie received a presidential pardon from Trump.

In a phone call with Savannah, Trump said, “It’s a terrible thing but a great thing, because your parents are going to be free and clean. I hope we can do it by tomorrow.”

Savannah Chrisley’s Response

Savannah expressed her gratitude and determination in a statement to Us Weekly:
“For over two and a half years, I’ve fought to bring my parents home. This moment answers countless prayers. I’m deeply thankful to President Trump for seeing the truth and restoring my family.”

She also thanked Alice Marie Johnson for support and their attorney Alex Little for their role in the process. Savannah vowed to keep fighting against wrongful convictions and prison injustice, saying, “Family is everything to me, and I will never stop fighting for what is right.”

The Chrisley family’s emotional reunion marks a hopeful new chapter after years of struggle, with Savannah leading the charge for justice and healing.
