Trophy Nut Company is recalling certain cans of its Honey Roasted Peanuts because they might contain cashews, which are not listed on the label.
Why This Recall Matters
Each year, many people in the U.S. suffer from food allergies or sensitivities. The FDA lists nine major food allergens, including peanuts and tree nuts like cashews. While peanuts are legumes, cashews are tree nuts, and allergies to each can cause different reactions. Undeclared allergens on food labels can be dangerous and even life-threatening for those affected.
