Lady Tigers Fall to Graves County, Forte’s Double-Double Not Enough

    The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers fell to Graves County on Thursday, losing 59-28. The Lady Eagles (13-3) established a strong lead early in the game, leading 23-7 after the first quarter and 40-17 at halftime. Conlee Spann and Morgan Alexander led the scoring for Graves County with 22 and 19 points, respectively. Hopkinsville (2-9) was led by Shiyah Forte, who recorded a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Kahtahvia Fleming, TaRia Sharber, and Zynia Earthman added 6, 5, and 3 points to Hopkinsville’s score.

    On Saturday, the Hopkinsville Lady Tigers will have the opportunity to redeem themselves in a much-anticipated rematch against their cross-town rivals, Christian County. The game will be crucial as it is part of the 8th District contest. The last time these two teams met, Christian County came out on top, but Hopkinsville has been working hard to improve their skills and strategies to take on their opponents.
