On Tuesday, Christian County Public Schools officials decided to keep the district in non-traditional instruction (NTI) for Wednesday, February 1, due to the icy conditions and forecast of more winter weather. Superintendent Chris Bentzel stated, “With temperatures remaining below freezing today and more wintery weather expected overnight, we believe it is the right decision to cancel in-person learning for tomorrow.”
To ensure families have enough time to make arrangements, aftercare programs, extracurricular activities, and sports have also been suspended for Wednesday. District administration will monitor rising temperatures and improved conditions; any changes will be communicated to individual coaches. Student families should check their school’s social channels and postings for updates.
