    The Tigers Make Waves and claim 1st place

    The Hopkinsville High School Tigers swim team recently made an extraordinary splash at a prominent swim meet, showcasing their incredible talent, dedication, and teamwork. The team’s performances were phenomenal, from securing top spots to setting personal bests. Here’s a rundown of how our Hopkinsville High School Tigers fared in various events.

    Women’s 200 Yard Medley Relay

    In a breathtaking display of skill, the Hopkinsville High School-KY A team clinched second place with a final time of 2:15.67, surpassing their seed time impressively. The team, composed of Caroline Payne, Grace A Cansler, Livie Jorgensen, and more, accumulated 34 points, demonstrating teamwork at its finest. Not far behind, the Hopkinsville High School-KY B team showed commendable effort, landing in fourth place with a final time of 2:56.55.

    Women’s 200 Yard Freestyle

    Caroline Payne and Kaley Bangart proudly represented Hopkinsville, finishing third and fourth. Payne clocked a final time of 2:33.65, closely followed by Bangart with a time of 2:37.48, both contributing significantly to the team’s point tally.

    Women’s 200 Yard IM

    Livie Jorgensen emerged victorious in the 200 Yard IM, securing the top spot with a final time of 2:40.80. Her performance was a testament to her hard work and dedication to the sport.

    Women’s 50 Yard Freestyle

    Hopkinsville’s swimmers continued to impress in the 50 Yard Freestyle. Eliza K Renshaw led the charge with a fourth-place finish, followed by Evelyn Bangart, Kaydon Coats, and Madelin Macario, all placing commendably and adding to the team’s point pool.

    Women’s 100 Yard Freestyle

    Grace Cansler outshone the competition, bagging first place with an incredible final time of 1:03.15. Her teammates, Eliza K Renshaw, Kaley Bangart, Brilyn Merrick, and Evelyn Bangart, all finished strongly, showcasing the depth of talent in the Hopkinsville team.

    Women’s 500 Yard Freestyle

    Kaydon Coats delivered a stellar performance in the 500 Yard Freestyle, earning third place with a time of 7:45.79, contributing crucial points to the team’s score.

    Women’s 200 Yard Freestyle Relay

    Both Hopkinsville High School-KY, A and B teams performed admirably in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay. The A team secured second place, and the B team followed closely in fourth, proving the strength and depth of our swim team.

    Women’s 100-yard backstroke and Breaststroke

    In the 100 Yard Backstroke, Caroline Payne and Brilyn Merrick did the team proud. At the same time, in the Breaststroke, Grace Cansler and Livie Jorgensen finished first and second, respectively, highlighting the exceptional talent within the team.
