OAK GROVE, Ky. — After conducting a thorough investigation into abuse of public trust, Kentucky State Police arrested Hailey A. Bamford, a payroll clerk for the City of Oak Grove.

Bamford, 38, was accused of falsifying time entries and altering timesheets between May 2022 and October 2023.

According to KSP, an audit conducted by detectives and the Special Investigations Auditor discovered that Bamford manipulated business records to steal at least $6,208.75 from taxpayers.

On April 11, 2025, the Christian County Grand Jury charged her with one count of abuse of public trust and fourteen counts of tampering with public documents.

On April 14, 2025, authorities arrested Bamford at Oak Grove City Hall and transported her to the Christian County Detention Center.
