Maryland — Maryland deputies confirmed the worst fears in their search for a missing mother of two. Not only has her boyfriend been charged with her murder, but his uncle is also being investigated for allegedly being an accessory after the fact.

“While this was not the ending that we all hoped for, I am grateful to all those who worked so hard to find Ms. Guerra,” Charles County Sheriff Troy D. Berry said of the tragic conclusion to their search for Lesbia Mileth Ramirez Guerra, 23. “On behalf of the Charles County Sheriff’s Office, I offer our most sincere condolences to all of her family and friends.”

Deputies say Guerra’s boyfriend, Keycy Robinson Alexi Barrera-Rosa, 24, reported her missing on April 2, two days after her last confirmed appearance.

Authorities suspected foul play in her disappearance, claiming the family’s Toyota 4Runner moved from the front to the back of the house on April 1 before returning to the front. This would have been awkward given the property’s layout.

Charles County deputies say they and their Prince George’s County counterparts searched outside Cedarville State Forest and discovered Guerra buried in a heavily wooded area.

The boyfriend, Keycy Robinson Alexi Barrera-Rosa, 24, has been charged with murder. He had previously been detained by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement due to his undocumented status. Maryland authorities also allege that his uncle, Rolvin Eduardo Bererra-Bererra, 37, acted as an accessory after the fact.

This uncle allegedly told investigators on Thursday that Barrera-Rosa told him Guerra died from strangulation, according to documents obtained by Southern Maryland News Net. Barrera-Barrera claimed to have helped bury the body, according to investigators. Authorities claimed that digital evidence supported the statement.
