Destany weighs 270 pounds... 'My daughter is 110 pounds': Woman goes nuts and pummels 11-year-old girl in front of child's mother, cops say

Ohio — A 20-year-old woman in Ohio is facing criminal charges for allegedly attacking an 11-year-old girl while she was playing on a playground, according to cellphone video released by the victim’s parents, who claim she pummeled the child.

At one point during the assault, Destany Scott “repeatedly slammed [the child’s] head off the metal portion of a slide,” according to an incident report filed with the Canton Police Department and obtained by local CBS affiliate WOIO. She also allegedly told the victim’s mother, Paige Dishong, that she wished her daughter died.

“There should definitely be a lot more done about this than just a misdemeanor or assault and disorderly conduct,” Dishong told WOIO in an interview on Monday.

“It’s ridiculous,” the angry mother added. “Destany weighs 270 pounds… My daughter weighs 110 pounds. “She could have killed her.”

According to Canton police, officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Clark Avenue on Friday following a report of an assault at a nearby park.

“The girl ran up behind me, grabbed my hair, and threw me up against the ground,” Dishong’s daughter told WOIO.

Scott was allegedly found at the scene, arguing with Dishong about what had occurred.

Cops say the attack was the result of a disagreement between Scott and Dishong’s child, though it’s unclear what triggered it.

Scott was charged with assault, disorderly conduct, and obstructing official business for the Friday incident. According to WOIO, she pleaded not guilty at her arraignment on Tuesday and is scheduled to appear in court again next week for pretrial proceedings.
