The focus is on Juan Soto, one of baseball’s most talented players and the Mets’ record-breaking offseason acquisition. Soto has yet to establish himself at the plate, despite high expectations following his historic signing.
Juan Soto is still looking for stride
One of the most talked-about offseason moves was Juan Soto’s move to Queens, which left Mets fans hoping for a new era led by his exceptional hitting. However, the great slugger has not performed to the level that many had expected in the first month of the season.
Soto’s power numbers are currently significantly lower, hitting only.233, which is well below his career average. Pitchers don’t give him much to work with and frequently challenge other parts of the Mets’ lineup, and his timing at the plate appears to be off.

In addition, he will ensure that he completes all of the other tasks. He has stated that he wants to win a gold glove, which would be overly ambitious, especially if he does not have a fantastic offensive season.”
