Chattanooga, TN – An 18-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a March shooting in Chattanooga that left one person injured, according to the Chattanooga Police Department.
Cordai Miree was arrested on April 22, 2025, with the assistance of the United States Marshals Service. His arrest comes after a shooting on March 14 in the 4900 block of Central Avenue.
The case was the subject of a multi-unit investigation by CPD, which was later presented to a Hamilton County Grand Jury on April 14, resulting in formal charges.
Miree is charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated robbery, and using a firearm to commit a dangerous felony. Following his arrest, he was taken to the Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center.
Authorities emphasized that the investigation is still ongoing, and the information released thus far is preliminary. Miree, like all criminal defendants, is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
The Chattanooga Police Department has not released additional information about the motive or the victim’s condition, but officials say updates will be provided as the case progresses.
