Tragic event: a 14-year-old football player passes away during a game due to cardiac arrest, and the club issues an emotional statement

A 14-year-old football player died while playing in France.

Ousmane Diaby collapsed on the pitch while playing for Jeunesse Aubervilliers against Auxerre.

He passed away from a cardiac arrest.

The statement read as follows: “It is with immense sorrow that we announce the tragic death of our dear Ousmane Diaby, 14.”

Diaby received immediate medical attention after collapsing, and efforts were made to resuscitate him.

He was rushed to Dijon hospital by air ambulance before dying on Wednesday.

The club has launched a fundraiser to help his family and cover funeral expenses, which has already raised £7,600.

They paid tribute to the youngster, saying, “Today is a day of mourning for the city.” Losing such a young child on a football pitch is a heartbreaking experience for everyone.

“Ousmane was a child with a big heart and an exemplary upbringing.

“Every day, he assisted his mother with household tasks and volunteered with the club’s youngest members, including the Under-9s.

“Always smiling, helpful, and respectful, he makes an indelible impression on our lives.

“We’ll miss you, Ousmane. You’ll be in our hearts forever.

“We love you so much, little brother. Rest in peace.

The club will observe a minute’s silence in Diaby’s memory before their next Under-16 match.

Philippe Diallo, president of the French Football Federation (FFF), expressed his “most sincere condolences” to Diaby’s family and the club’s management.
