Missouri – A Missouri woman was arrested and charged with first-degree murder, armed criminal action, third-degree assault, and resisting arrest following the fatal stabbing of first responder G Hofman.

The incident happened during an ambulance ride to the hospital, when the 39-year-old defendant, S. BosseI, allegedly attacked the victim, resulting in his death.

The events leading up to the tragedy began shortly before 1 a.m., when officers responded to a welfare check on the 39-year-old woman, who was discovered walking along Missouri 152 Highway with a bleeding finger.

Emergency medical services were dispatched, and the woman was taken to a nearby hospital. During the ride, she allegedly fatally stabbed the victim in the chest.

When the ambulance driver heard the victim call for assistance, he came to a halt. The defendant then tried to flee, but was apprehended by police.

According to Missouri authorities, at 1:19 a.m., the ambulance driver turned on the emergency lights, jumped out, and ran to the back door.

He yelled to a police officer behind them, claiming that the defendant possessed a knife. When the officer noticed the defendant and the paramedic struggling, he called for help.

The woman then attempted to drive the ambulance, but failed. They fought as the officer attempted to restrain her. She slipped out, ran to the back, and returned to the driver’s seat.

The officer drew his weapon and grabbed her, causing them to fall. The defendant bit the officer’s arm, so he hit her in the head with his weapon to get her to stop.

Meanwhile, the ambulance driver attempted to keep the victim conscious, but he became unresponsive. Additional officers arrived and detained the woman before a second ambulance transported the victim, who had sustained a life-threatening stab wound, to the hospital.

The woman’s criminal record includes a recent arrest for allegedly biting a police officer in another incident. She was released on bond a few days before the stabbing.

She is currently being held under a $1 million bond. She has pleaded not guilty to the charges and awaits her next court appearance.

The incident has sparked debate about the safety of first responders and the need for stronger protocols to protect them during emergency medical situations.
