Who Will Get the New York Stimulus?

- Individuals earning under $75,000 a year will get $200
- Those earning between $75,000 and $150,000 will get $150
- Married couples with joint income below $150,000 will receive $400
- Households earning between $150,000 and $300,000 can get $300

When Will the New York Stimulus Arrive?

Georgia Stimulus: Up to $500 Refunds Under HB 112
Moving to Georgia, the state has approved a bill called HB 112, which gives one-time refunds to people using extra funds available in the budget. Georgia’s Governor Brian Kemp signed the bill on April 15, saying the aim is to “give money back to workers.”
Who Will Receive Georgia’s Refund?
To be eligible, you must have filed your 2023 state taxes by May 1 or applied for an extension until October 15. You must also have had a tax obligation for 2023.
Here’s how much you could get:
- Single filers or married individuals filing separately: $250
- Heads of household: $375
- Married couples filing jointly: $500
Even part-year or non-residents of Georgia may qualify, if they filed taxes properly.
How and When Will Georgia Payments Arrive?
Refunds will be sent within 6 to 8 weeks of approval. You don’t need to apply again. The refund will come through the same method you chose for your tax refund — either direct deposit or a cheque by post.
Residents can check updates or verify their status on the Georgia Tax Center website at gtc.dor.ga.gov. You’ll need your SSN or ITIN and details like your 2023 federal adjusted gross income to use the portal.
No Federal Stimulus Yet, DOGE Plan Unconfirmed
As of now, no national stimulus payments have been confirmed by the US Federal Government. There have been talks about a possible $5,000 DOGE dividend payment, backed by former President Donald Trump and Elon Musk, but nothing has been finalised. There is no official update from the White House or Congress on this idea.
