A Hopkinsville man was charged after fleeing from police during a disturbance on Florence Street in Hopkinsville Sunday morning.

Hopkinsville Police say they were called for 31-year-old Shaquan Harris, who was sleeping in a house and was asked by the owner to leave.

He reportedly hit the woman’s car with his vehicle before fleeing from law enforcement when they arrived. The pursuit was ended near Hoptown Donuts on North Drive using a precision immobilization technique.

According to Christian County Jail records, Harris was arrested and charged with DUI, first-degree fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, reckless driving, second-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, and first-degree criminal mischief.
