Salutes from Oak Grove's Spring Into Summer This weekend marks the beginning of Fort Campbell's festival season

Festival season is about to begin, with Oak Grove’s Spring Into Summer Salutes Fort Campbell event this weekend.

According to Scarlet Mayfield of the Oak Grove Tourism Commission, the two-day celebration begins on Saturday at 12 p.m., with a variety of stage shows including live otters, balloon artists, a parachute drop, bubble zones, carnival rides, and much more, before Brantley Gilbert takes the stage at 7 p.m.

All events, including the concert, are free to attend; however, Mayfield says there will be plenty of vendors and food trucks on hand, so bring some money to shop.

The gates will close at 9 p.m. Saturday, but will reopen at noon on Sunday and remain open until 6 p.m.

This year’s event will also include a unique drone light show that will illuminate the night sky. Officials request that outside alcohol and pets be kept at home.

This all takes place at 101 Walter Garrett Lane in Oak Grove, and Mayfield says they’ll have a company again this year to help keep parking in order, reducing traffic and wait times.
