HOPKINSVILLE, KY — A traffic stop and a search warrant were conducted on Monday, resulting in multiple drug-related charges and the arrest of three different people.
Around 6:30 p.m. on May 19, Christian County Sheriff’s Office deputies were in the Hillside Terrace area looking for a 42-year-old man wanted on felony drug charges. The residence was known to law enforcement as a location associated with suspected drug activity, according to a CCSO news release.
Just after 6:40 p.m., two vehicles left the house. One of the vehicles broke several traffic laws and was stopped near Sanderson Drive. Inside, there were three people, including the wanted suspect. He was arrested on his active warrant and charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
During the stop, deputies and a K-9 officer from the Hopkinsville Police Department discovered methamphetamine, marijuana, Gabapentin pills, used needles, and drug paraphernalia. The suspect and the driver, a 48-year-old man from Cadiz, were both arrested and charged with meth trafficking, marijuana possession, and drug paraphernalia. Both were taken to the Christian County Jail.

On May 19, deputies executed a search warrant and arrested a woman at a residence in the 200 block of Hillside Terrace. This arrest follows an ongoing narcotics investigation.
During the search, suspected methamphetamine was discovered in the purse of a 62-year-old Hopkinsville woman, as well as multiple small plastic baggies commonly used in drug trafficking, according to a news release.
Drug paraphernalia, including a digital scale, glass smoking pipes with marijuana residue, and a marijuana grinder, were also discovered near her belongings. She was taken into custody and transported to the Christian County Jail. Upon arrival, a body scan revealed concealed drugs. Jail staff recovered a small bag of marijuana and a small bag of methamphetamine hidden on her person.
As a result, she is facing the following charges.
- Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree (Methamphetamine, less than 2 grams)
- Possession of Marijuana
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
- Tampering with Physical Evidence
- Promoting Contraband, 1st Degree
