HOPKINSVILLE, KY — After being shot in Hopkinsville, an adult man was transported to Vanderbilt Medical Center by helicopter.
Hopkinsville EMS responded to the shooting scene on Wednesday morning at Liberty and Second Street.
According to Payton Rogers of EMS, the victim was shot once in the neck and was alert and responsive when they arrived.
Officer Royale Marfil of Hopkinsville Police told Christian County Now that a female suspect shot the victim following a disturbance.
She is currently in custody and being interviewed by detectives. This is an ongoing investigation.
After being treated on-scene by medics, a helicopter arrived to transport the victim to Nashville for further treatment.
