HOPKINSVILLE, KY — The Pennyroyal Arts Council has partnered with the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library to launch a new Community Movie Series at the Alhambra Theatre, which will run from June 2025 to February 2026.
This series is made possible through a collaboration between the theater and the library, with additional sponsorship from The Rotary Club of Hopkinsville, The Silo, and Bolinger Real Estate. “It will bring a rich lineup of family favorites, cult classics, seasonal specials, and literary adaptations to the big screen — all free and open to the public,” according to a press statement.
Screenings will be held on Tuesdays, with children’s shows at 10 a.m. and adult features at 6:30 p.m., as well as special events throughout the fall and winter.
The release stated that interactive elements will be included during morning kids’ showings, providing a fun and engaging experience for younger audiences, ranging from costume contests to sing-alongs and themed activities tied to each film.
