CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. — An investigation is underway after a woman was stabbed in an apartment in Clarksville on Thursday morning.

Officers received a 911 call from a woman reporting that she had been stabbed around 2:20 a.m.

According to the release, officers discovered the victim in the roadway in the 2200 block of McCormick Lane. She was taken to Tennova Healthcare’s emergency room for treatment of an unknown injury.

The victim was able to tell investigators that the stabbing happened inside one of the apartments near where she was discovered. Officers went to the apartment and discovered it was unoccupied.

Officers have secured the apartment complex’s parking lot, and the investigation is still ongoing.
