Oops! Christian County High School certificates are being reissued due to spelling problems

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. — Hundreds of graduating seniors in Christian County must wait a little longer for their official diplomas.

That’s because graduates and parents discovered two spelling errors in the diplomas distributed on graduation day, which the district says they’re quickly correcting.

The spelling errors occurred on the diploma’s date, with the word “third” spelled “thrid” and the word “five” spelled “fith.”

“We went to get our diplomas right after, and I don’t think a lot of people would check theirs as quickly as I did,” said graduating senior Emani Johnson. “I saw a post on Facebook about check your diplomas because there may be something misspelled.”
