HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. — A motorcycle and a truck collided in Hopkinsville on Sunday evening, killing two people and one animal, according to reports.

Hopkinsville Fire/EMS responded to a crash in the 2400 block of Russellville Road around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 11.

According to WKDZ Radio, the Hopkinsville Police Department reported that an eastbound truck collided with a westbound motorcycle while turning into Western State Hospital.

According to officials, the Christian County coroner pronounced a man and a woman dead on the scene while riding their motorcycle.

According to WKDZ Radio, the crash also killed the truck’s dog.

Shortly after 7:15 p.m., the fire department announced that law enforcement was still on the scene, investigating the circumstances that led to the fatal incident.

There have been no additional details released regarding Sunday evening’s crash.
