A police pursuit in Sharonville results in several arrests

What began as a routine traffic stop in Sharonville ended in a massive police chase on the interstate Saturday evening.

According to the Sharonville Police Department, the incident began as a routine traffic stop for a fictitious license plate violation at 5:33 p.m.

However, things changed when the driver fled the scene, striking the officer’s cruiser and failing to stop despite multiple orders.

Police pursued the suspect for almost 30 minutes before using stop sticks to deflate his front left tire.

The suspect has been identified as Alicia Joyce Bryant, 54, from Hamilton, Ohio.

Bryant was charged with:

  1. Attempted assault on a police officer
  2. Felony failure to comply with a police officer
  3. Drug paraphernalia
  4. Driving under suspension
  5. Fictitious license plate violation

Bryant also had an outstanding warrant from Butler County.
Kevin Gabbard, 45, was also inside the vehicle. He was accused of tampering with evidence.

Gabbard also had an open warrant with the Ohio Parole Authority.

The incident resulted in no injuries.
