HOPKINSVILLE, KY — Otis Brison Jr., 37, of Cadiz died in a car accident in Hopkinsville on May 16. A semi-truck struck the victim’s car at the intersection of Eagle Way and Canton Pike.
Witnesses at the scene told Christian County Sheriff’s Deputies that the semi-truck ran a red light and collided with the victim’s vehicle. Following the collision, an explosion occurred, and the truck caught fire.
According to the CCSO collision report, several bystanders attempted to put out the fire until emergency personnel arrived. Brison was discovered dead in his vehicle when EMS arrived. The driver of the semi-truck was not injured, and no charges have been filed as of yet.
A Go Fund Me page posted on behalf of Brinson’s family shares that he was father to three children, and often volunteered his time at New Work Fellowship, and coached an abundance of youth sports.
