CLARKSVILLE, TN — This morning, a two-vehicle crash on Purple Heart Parkway injured multiple people.

Clarksville Police responded to the crash on Purple Heart Parkway at Jordan Road around 11:21 a.m., according to CPD spokesman Scott Beaubien in a news release.

Beaubien said the entire roadway is closed to allow Air Evac/LifeFlight helicopters to land and evacuate those involved in the crash. Their conditions have not been disclosed.

“Motorists are strongly advised to seek an alternate route until the roadway can be cleared,” Beaubien told reporters.

At 12:05 p.m., traffic was backed up on 101st Airborne Division Parkway.
