    Tigers Learning from Loss

Saturday night’s game between the Christian County Colonels and the Hopkinsville Tigers may not have ended in the Tigers’ favor, with a final score of 82-52. However, it was still a valuable learning experience for the team. The Tigers were able to hold their own against a strong regional contender, the Colonels, and even trim the lead to 19 points on multiple occasions during the game.

The Colonels got off to a strong start, with back-to-back threes from Derrell Bateman and Breland Morrison, but the Tigers fought hard to keep the game within reach. Bubba Leavell, who finished the night with 14 points, was a crucial player in the first half for the Tigers, helping to keep the score within striking distance.

While the final score may not reflect it, the Tigers have much to be proud of from this game. They faced a formidable opponent and could hold their own, proving they were a force to be reckoned with in the 2nd Region. The team will continue to work hard and improve as they head into their next game against Fort Campbell.
