Hopkinsville Police arrested 20-year-old Jordan Houchens for allegedly being involved in a shooting on Fowler Avenue on Monday afternoon.
According to the report, Houchens and a male juvenile got into a fight with a man at a home on Fowler Avenue near North McPherson Avenue. According to the man, the juvenile threatened to shoot up the establishment.
The threat was dismissed, but later a gunshot was reported fired through the front door and into an interior wall. The home’s two occupants were not injured.
Following the shooting, Christian County Middle School was placed on temporary lockdown.
Houchens was identified as one of the individuals involved. After speaking with the juvenile involved, officers discovered that Houchens allegedly supplied the stolen gun used in the shooting.
He was charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree criminal mischief, receiving stolen property, tampering with physical evidence, using restricted ammunition during a felony, and possessing a firearm as a convicted felon.
