HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. — A house fire broke out in Hopkinsville on Saturday evening, displacing three people and sending one to the hospital.

Hopkinsville Fire/EMS reported that multiple stations responded to a suspected structure fire shortly before 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, after a caller reported smoke coming from the roof of a home in the 3000 block of Jackson Court.

According to fire officials, the first unit arrived in five minutes and confirmed a large volume of smoke coming from the home, which was engulfed in flames. Within 30 minutes, crews had extinguished the fire.

The department reported that one of the occupants was taken to Jennie Stuart Health for suspected smoke inhalation. There is no word on the person’s current condition.

Meanwhile, officials announced that three residents will be displaced as a result of the fire, but the Red Cross will assist them.

There have been no additional details released regarding Saturday evening’s structure fire.
