Joe Dewayne Jones, 69, of Butler Road in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, died of natural causes on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Lamb Funeral Home, officiated by Dr. Joe Bufford. The burial will take place at Heltsley Cemetery in Clifty, Kentucky.
On Thursday, May 1, 2025, visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to the time of service.
He was born in Todd County, Kentucky, on April 20, 1956, as the son of the late JD Jones and Earlene (Harris).
Joe worked as an operator for the State Highway Department. He belonged to the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Becky Jones, daughter, Angie Jones, and brother, Wesley Jones.
Survivors include his 25-year partner, Nancy Johnson of Hopkinsville, KY; his son, Reggie Jones of Trenton, KY; his brothers, Wendell Jones and David (Cheryl) Jones, both of Hopkinsville, KY; his sisters, Brenda (Roger) Allen, Linda (Mike) Blankenship, and Melissa (Jake) McCarty, all of Hopkinsville, KY; five grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
