HOPKINSVILLE, KY– On Sunday, May 4, a man died following a dive emergency at the Pennyroyal Quarry in Hopkinsville early in the afternoon. The Christian County Coroner’s Office identified him as Kyle Walder, 31, of Illinois.
Payton Rogers of Hopkinsville Fire/EMS informed Christian County Emergency crews were dispatched to the diving site on Christian Quarry Road around noon. When EMS arrived, the diver had already been receiving CPR after experiencing an emergency while underwater.
Walder was transported to Jennie Stuart Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
