CLARKSVILLE, TN – Police have closed off a north Peachers Mill Road neighborhood while they negotiate with a person barricaded inside a house.

According to Clarksville Police Spokesman Officer Scott Beaubien, the secure perimeter was established around 1300 Sharptail Trail, which is off McClardy Road.

McClardy has been closed at Peachers Mill for safety reasons, and no traffic is permitted to enter the area.

Individuals already in the McClardy area may leave, but they will not be permitted to return until the situation is resolved and the area is deemed safe.

“The Clarksville Police Department is requesting that residents in the immediate area near 1300 Sharptail Trail remain indoors if possible and avoid any activity that may interfere with police operations,” Beaubien told the media.

No additional information has been released.
