A man in Hopkinsville gets 15 years in prison for drug trafficking

A Hopkinsville man has received a 15-year federal prison sentence for trafficking meth and fentanyl, as well as money laundering.

Jay Brown, 55, was found guilty on multiple counts, including conspiracy to distribute over 50 grams of meth and over 400 grams of fentanyl, as well as money laundering. The crimes occurred in Christian County between January 2021 and September 2023.

Brown was already on supervised release from a previous federal conviction. He will also face another five years of supervision after being released.

There is no parole in the federal system.

The DEA, ATF, Homeland Security, US Postal Inspection Service, and Hopkinsville Police Department all conducted investigations into the case.
