With all of the new zoning ordinances, the City of Hopkinsville is updating the ward map. On Tuesday night, City Council approved the first reading of an ordinance to update the ward map, as well as second readings of zoning ordinances for Cadiz and Lafayette roads.
The council also decided to rename East 2nd Street Park after a well-known former resident.
Brittany Byrum serves as the city clerk. Council unanimously approved an incentive for the company that intends to revitalize the L&N Depot.
During his closing remarks, Councilman Chuck Crabtree announced that he would propose a change in economic development funding.
The budget will be discussed by City Council on Thursday night at Committee of the Whole.
